Loctite 243 Threadlocker Blue is single component, medium strength, medium viscosity, general purpose acrylic threadlocker designed for locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. This anaerobic cure material provides excellent temperature resistance and oil tolerance. Loctite 243 primerless threadlocker is well suited to work on active metals such as brass, copper, stainless steel, aluminum, and plated surfaces. It has a temperature range of -65 to 360 Degrees F and has a flashpoint greater than 93 degrees Celsius. Loctite 243 can endure minor surface contamination from oil, such as lubrication, anti-corrosion and protection fluids.
Loctite 243 is a blue liquid threadlocker that prevents loosening and leakage of threaded fasteners. Cures when confined in the absense of air between close fitting metal surfaces.
Typical Use:
Suitable for applications such as pump or motor mounting bolts, equipment housing screws or engine rocker nuts, where disassembly with hand tools is required.
